Decide what type of photography style you’d like to have. Documentary, traditional, fine art or something more edgy.
Many photographers have a blend of characteristics, so I recommend finding somebody who specializes more in the style and feel you love. It’s very important, because this is how you will remember and see your wedding day. Checking out their website and Instagram feed is a good way to find out what their priorities are when shooting your big day.
Make sure to choose a photographer who offers products you want to have from your wedding day.
Is having a good quality album as your first family heirloom important to you, or are you just looking to have some digital files on a disk? Are you planning on hanging some prints on the wall? Sharing images on social media? Some photographers will have more trendy products using different materials, (metallic, wood or acrylic wall art and albums) others specialize in traditional, timeless style like leather covered albums and canvases. Check out what type of package options do they have and what is included.
It’s important that you not only like your photographer, but bond with them too.
They will follow you around all day, witness and document everything. So the more comfortable you feel, the more fun you’ll have. And that will reflect on your pictures too. Is there something meaningful or important they should know about your family dynamic? It’s always helpful to talk about your relationships, so the photographer can capture those essential moments.

Although I was born in Serbia, graduated in Italy and have been living overseas for 14+ years, I'm very proud of my Hungarian heritage.
I love documenting my life adventures, trying out healthy recipes and herbal remedies, or going on family trips in our new home, Canada.
